Oh I know why they are giving food to ghost..I saw that in some Korean dramas where there are plenty of foods for the past away family members or friends..They believe that if they didn't prepare food, the soul can't eat..They believe a lost people who died without any family or relatives who knows becomes a lost soul and cannot eat properly, because no one prepare foods for them.. ex: those who have been killed and no one knows they died, or a lost person that never found..it's a part of their tradition
